in the united states, telling someone that you work in tax elicits one of two responses (1) a look of disgust (2) unsolicited questions typically reserved for one’s tax advisor. both tells us the same thing, which is that people are generally tax-averse. i cannot object to this notion because i don’t think i understand it. tax to me, is a marker of time, a record of our lives, and a reflection of our world.
